This is not a good week for Austin. I really think that the full moon has a lot to do with his new tics. He is thrusting his body and very hard head jerks. I pray that this resolves as soon as the moon phases change!!!

WOW, what an amazing weekend we had. We got out on Saturday and went to my parents house for a day of good ol yard work. We were able to help clean out around their old barn by pulling out trees, shrubs, limbs, vines and any other yard debris we could get our hand on. Austin was a big help to us. Also it gave him a chance to get out of the house for a while and take out some frustrations on the debris. Then he had a friend come over and it gave him a chance to talk and play with someone his own age. He really enjoyed that.
On Sunday we surprised Austin by taking him and 2 of his old classmates from school up to Atlanta for an exotic and classic car show. It was filled with all kinds of automobiles. He is all into cars right now especially Lambo, Ferrari and Lotus. He just thought he was in heaven with all those cars. He was having fun running around with his friends snapping photos and telling us all about the cars.
Then on the way home we stopped by the Varsity in Atlanta for some good old chilly dogs and fries. I think they really enjoyed the food and fellowship. Austin did not want to go home cause he knew he was going to have to tell his friends goodbye and leave their house. We stayed for about an hour for them to play but it always the same when  you go to leave, "Oh mom, why cant we stay longer?" As we were leaving we told them that we could get back together again and let them play some more.

And then Monday came around. We don't know if it was because we worked him on Sat, whether it was the all day trip on Sunday or if it is because of the full moon phase right now but Austin is not having a good week right now. He is suffering with new tics of yelling "yep yep" and thrusting his head and neck and even his entire body. Mandie said he was off and on all day and even the IPAD and XBOX did not seem to help him. After I got home and tried to talk with him and apply some oils for relief, no help. It was now time for the sleepy medicine. We try not to use it unless it just comes down to the end and I think he had reached it. His body and mind was tired. I gave him his "relief" medicine that helps him in case of an attack. It was probably about 30 minutes later he came over and crawled up with me into the recliner and we watched television. I miss the old days when he was a baby and he would sleep in my arms in the recliner so when he said he wanted to get in the chair with me, I made room for him. I was rubbing his neck and back and before I knew it he was asleep. He was finally getting some "relief". Then before I realized it I was asleep too. That is some good ol sleeping time. I finally woke up around 11:30 and put Austin to bed. When I was getting ready for the gym this morning I heard him making some tic noises while he was sleeping. I'm waiting to hear how his morning is going but until then, lets just keep praying. Thank you.
